If Windows XP is behaving oddly, or you cannot boot the system or log in, the issues may be resolved by performing a repair installation.
Unfortunately, a repair installation can only be carried out if you have a Windows XP installation CD.

I am currently travelling and one morn. when i started my laptop which has windows XP pro., it started asking me for a password to login. I never kept any password for my login account. I tried starting it on safe mode too and logging in through the "administration" account but there also it asks for a password. Thus i cannot access anything on my notebook.I cannot afford to loose any data so I need help from any1 who knows the solution to this.PLEASE HELP

My computer starts up normally and ask for my log in pass word and goes through fine. The problem is it doesn't show anything, no start many, desktop icons or task bar. Just the desktop screan saver image. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
