Boot straight to your desktop in Windows XP

Do you find it annoying that Windows asks you to log in when you start your computer, even though you are the only user? Would you like to have Windows go straight to your desktop on startup?

Hey, I needed this to fix a friends computer. Worked perfectly. The first link I saw on Google, clicked it and BAM! I'm finished.
Thanks much!

Well, I used 'control userpasswords2', but now, it is logging into some unknown, brand new default profile, not my old one. Please advise. Thx.

This is great! Thanx so much. So annoying to have to hit return upon seeing that silly password prompt. Technology makes us so spoiled, but Oh well.

Is it possible to get a floppy to boot any pc (running xp pro) right up to the windows desktop? Or does a floppy only take you so far...e.g. perhaps just far enough to allow you to hit delete, to get you into the bios set up?
You see, i deleted some casino files (or is it keys)from the registry, to get rid of junk, but next day I couldnt quite boot right up to d/top, as it hung there - just before the d/top screen appeared. Hence my need for a floppy to boot me right up to the win d/top screen...Better still, a floppy that will perhaps ALSO repair my little problem?
Can you please HELP?
